"When I was in high school, I was active in many different sports: wrestling, running, throwing in track, and football. My senior year, (2000) during a football game, my knee was injured. I had ripped my ACL and PCL, stretched my MCL and disintegrated my meniscus. I have had two surgeries, one reconstructive surgery and a couple of years later, a clean up surgery. My knee never felt 100% better. Some days it would give out on me. If I would stand or sit too long, I would have to let my knee warm up before walking. Sometimes I would have a grinding noise or a catch that would click. A couple of months ago, I met Dr. Lee and Sarah five or six times to get my knee worked on. The work was exercise and it was hard at times. However, ever since my knee has felt great. Since the treatments, I have tested my knee in many different ways and it still feels great. "My name is Daryla Sandy and I’ve been going to Eklund Chiropractic for 2 months. Before coming to the clinic, I suffered from lower back pain that I assumed had to do with my extensive back surgery almost 2 years prior. It was getting to the point that I was on a heating pad several hours a day, even at work, and taking pain relief medicine constantly. I couldn’t do even the lightest housework without having to stop and rest.

My husband heard about Elkund Chiropractic and asked if I wanted to check it out. It couldn’t hurt and I was ready for anything, even a chiropractor!

At my fist appointment I was treated very well. Dr. Lee was calm, knowing this was my first experience with a chiropractor. He eased my fears when he said my problem sounded like the SI joint, and that my muscles were very weak, probably from surgery. I knew for sure it was going to be my spine!

He started me on ARP Wave Therapy. That was a little freaky, but I had done some research beforehand so I was semi-prepared. After my first session I was sore, but with additional treatments, and the exercises Dr. Lee gave me, my pain started to subside. After each ARP treatment, I could tell my muscles were getting stronger, which in turn alleviated my pain and discomfort.

Dr. Lee and his staff push you at each session, sometimes harder than others, depending on your discomfort at the time. He also expects you to do your exercises at home and follow his advice.

Although I always thought I took care of myself by taking vitamin/mineral supplements, I found out from Dr. Lee that a good quality supplement can make a huge difference in your health and overall well being. And he was right!

I’m not 100 % yet, but just being able to do the day to day activities once more, and rough-house with the grandkids has made a big difference in my life! Thanks to Eklund Chiropractic this skeptic is now totally convinced that chiropractors do play an important part in the medical community."
