We use
muscle testing to help us find the cause of the injury. How does
muscle testing work? Muscle testing allows us to objectively
determine how well your nervous system is functioning. Your muscles
are responsible for absorbing forces from everyday activities and
are controlled by your nervous system. If there is interference in
how the nervous system controls the muscles, they are unable to
absorb forces at full strength. This results in the force being
transferred to other areas of the body that are not designed to
absorb force--for example: ligaments, tendons, bone, cartilage,
discs and so on. When force transfers to these areas, they become
injured.
How Do We Get Your
Nervous System to Start Controlling Your Muscles?
Once we find out which muscles the nervous system is not
controlling, we set up a treatment plan that utilizes chiropractic adjustments
that stimulate the nervous system to fire at a higher level so that it will
start controlling your muscles. Once your muscles are working, they can absorb
force properly which allows the injured area to start the healing process. This
is the first step to your recovery from pain and injury.
The Second Step of Your
Recovery
Whenever an injury occurs, your body
naturally creates inflammation at the site of the injury. Then scar tissue forms
to help protect the body and walls off the inflammation. To counteract this
process, we use the ARP (Accelerated Recovery and Performance) protocols which greatly accelerate recovery from all
types of injuries by attacking the electrical origin of inflammation, thus
eliminating the production of scar tissue and inflammation. This, in turn,
reduces your pain level as well as increases your range of motion.
How
to Prevent Getting Injured Again
Once the injury has healed, the final step
is to strengthen your muscles to decrease the likelihood of re-injury. Weakened
muscles mean decreased ability to absorb force, making you more susceptible to
re-injury. The ARP protocols condition muscles to absorb greater force by
keeping them loose and elongated. The overall result is that you can return to
doing the activities you love!
ARP Trainer is a safe and effective
treatment for:
Acute and Chronic Pain: Helps
to relieve pain from muscle strain injuries. May also help to
reduce swelling and pain for elbows, shoulders and knees.
Sports Injuries:
Many professional sports teams use the ARP Wave to treat injured
athletes. However, this doesn't mean you have to be an athlete
in order to benefit from the ARP.
Increased Range
of Motion: The ARP helps to relax muscles and
decrease pain. This will help you regain full range of motion.
Pre and Post Surgery: The ARP accelerates healing and strength
recovery.
The ARP specializes in preventing joint replacement surgery,
athletic injuries, helping neurological disease patients increase their quality
of life and helping chronic pain patients.
